  • Condition: A Fair Well Used Poster Measures 20 9/16" X 27 3/8". Poster had been taped at each corner causing some minor damage in a couple corners. There are tears on the edges here & there & in the interior of the poster that have been stabilized on back by thin ½" wide see through archival non acid repair tissue. Note other stabilized tears in the red cross & up the center from bottom to the man's beard and across between the woman's chin and her hands. Other small creases folds and scuffs are evident. One may wish to display this poster in the character condition that it is in, or may wish to have have it linen mounted & touched up. I have priced this 100 year old poster accordingly.Look at photos closely please for they are an important part of the description.

    An Early 3 Stone Lithograph Color Illustration of a Red Cross Woman Nurse sheltering an elderly couple in her long clock and a small boy with a crutch held in her left arm with the Red Cross up behind her right shoulder.
    A Fair Well Used Poster Measures 20 9/16" X 27 3/8".
    Was hung at the library a short while early on and most of it wear was most likely due to librarian's looking through the collection over the years.

    This is a Fine Art Poster in fair well used condition that can very well be displayed like it is, for it is stable and has plenty of character developed over all these last 100 years. Or you could have it linen mounted with some light conservation your call. The buyers

    For instance:
    This poster's photos are for the most part a good match color wise but my lighting set up cast a very light shadow on the top part of the full photo you see of the poster, but the color is uniform with no shadow!
    Also one of the days I took photos the sky was blue & the sun shinning and thus a blue shade is seen on the images mainly the back of the poster shots.

    This poster
    was purchased along with many others at a Bradford Vermont Library Liquidation Sale years back where these were all stored in an upstairs closet since WW1 & have along with many others been stored in flat files ever since!
    I am in the process of liquidating my large unique collection of WW1 & WW2 Art Posters along with many other collectible items including Antique & Vintage Paper Collectibles, Art & a Vast Collection of Art/Picture Frames along with a Large Assortment of Various Historic & Collectible Items of Interest.
    Presently I am concentrating on The WW1 Collection mainly but not exclusively & have several up for sale now; and they seem to be finding new homes at a steady basis.
