VERY RARE LARGE 81" x 41" 2-PART 1918 YMCA YWCA HERTER WORLD WAR I POSTER, WWI

Description

Exceedingly rare huge original 1918 produced two-section World War I poster by the title 'HIS HOME OVER THERE United War Work Campaign November 11th-18th' with artwork done by American artist Albert Herter.'
The poster is comprised of two parts with the top part measuring approximately 21.5"h x 41"w and the bottom part measuring approximately 60"h x 41"w for a total size of approximately 81.5"h x 41"w.
Typically this poster is found measuring 41"h x 28"w.  This is an extremely rare large variant size of this poster.  I have been unable to locate any other examples like this example in the larger two part size.  Even Gary Borkan who wrote the authoritative book on World War I posters does not reference this rare size variant in his definitive book.
The colors in the poster have been well preserved and are fresh in appearance due to having been rolled up for many years.  There are no stains or areas of discoloration.
The top section of the poster is in excellent over-all condition with just several short edge tears and a couple of little spots of border edge roughness.  There are three crease lines from having been folded at one time.
The lower section of the poster has paper loss on the crease line where it was folded in half.  There is also a 4" edge tear and there is edge roughness comprised of paper loss on the right side bottom border edge.
This poster is an original World War I poster of the period and is not a later copy, is not a re-issue and is not a reproduction.  This poster has never been offered for sale before this time having been part of a collection put together many years ago.
The poster is in the condition as it was found unmounted and unbacked having been stored away for many years.  I have not repaired, restored or tampered with the poster in any way.
On some computer monitors the images seen in the listing may appear to show the colors of the poster to be muted or there may be a shine seen which is a reflection from either the camera flash or light but in actuality the colors of the poster are of even tonality.
For ultimate protection a preservation sheet of transparent neutral ph glassine will be rolled together with the poster, placed within a wrapped plastic bag for extra protection and sent within a high quality exceptionally durable Yazoo Mills shipping tube.  Please be assured that I package as carefully and securely as possible so that you will receive the poster in the condition as described in the listing.
