Details:A rare European Estoc sword 16th - 17th century
The overall condition is excellent on this piece.
The sword is extremely balanced.
The hilt is comprised of a set of curved quillons, the pommel is long with spiral groves and is th perfect counter weigth to give it its flexibility. The condition of the grip is excellent, this appears to be the original and has been well preserved.
The blade is a typical estoc blade, with a thickend diamond cross section which is hollow ground.
Some slight looseness is present in the guard.
