I am a retired professional museum conservator, writer, editor, and photographer. Though now visually disabled, I still professionally clean and conserve historic uniform buttons as a hobby using only museum-prescribed mechanical cleaning techniques. This means no chemicals of any kind are used to clean the artifacts I sell - ever.
In addition to conserving these items, I still study and produce research articles on specialized typologies.
All of the excavated buttons I sell are absolutely authentic and were recovered from private property with permission. I do not invent the history or provenance of any excavated button I sell.
