    Description

Very early document, appears to be for indentured servants coming from Europe to work in an early boat yard in York, Maine. Signed by the Skillins who were noted boatwrights in the area at the time and more importantly, Sam Penhallow who was a very early settler in the new world sent over by the king to convert the natives to Christianity. Once he got here, he married into a constable’s family with some money and became a very influential person in early New England history. Condition is not great, please see photos, but easily overlooked when considering how cool of an object this is. Just a great looking old document in a double glass frame and a wonderful Piece of early American history, definitely not something you will find again. Measures about 16.5” by about 13.5” overall framed.free shipping within the lower 48.
