Very rare beautiful John Stockard mountain dulcimer. Maple top, walnut sides and walnut book matched back. 38” overall, 24 7/8” VSL. Unique sound holes designed by John. When he passed they were given to Gary Gallier to use. One very small nick on the side, see pictures, hardly noticeable. Gold Gotoh tuners, and gold strap buttons installed. Tuned Dad, three strings installed (12, 14, 26). Lovely intonation and long sustain. John’s workmanship is on par with great luthiers such as Bonnie Carol, Doug Berch, and Gary Gallier, his son-in-law. Thinning my collection. Will be expertly packaged.
