This item was found in Skipwith, Byrd and Robertson papers from the late 1700s.
It is a receipt: "Dr. Mr. Geo. Jones to 246 1/2 gallons of "cyder" cider at 9d per gallon....L9.4.11 1/2."
So I believe this is 1740s to 1780s.
