Italian Officers Rapier / Sword ca 1700

Description

A beautiful Italian Officers Rapier from 1774.
The handle is composed of a wooden grip bound in copper and brass wire binding. The hilt is brass with the remains of its original silver plating or gilding.
The Pommel, knuckle bow, shells and quillons share the same spiral design making the rapier very elegant.
The Blade is a beautiful double edge blade of hexagonal section and is very good condition.
