    "PHOENIX"
    Old name plate from ship...maybe ???.... found at Topsail Island, NC years ago.
    Wave uncovered this iron piece.  It fell apart when picked up.   Maybe could be mended with some sort of metal colored cement.   Measures  3.5"  x  9"
    A collector might want this.
    This is the only category that I could find.
    It may not be from pre-1700 at all.
    Maybe from a ship that sunk however???
    A mystery to explore.
