Folding opera glasses circa 1959

Description

This pair of opera glasses was part of the "swag" given to people attending a 1959 convention of the National Association of Postmasters of the United States. They are still in their original box and apparently have never been used. They fold into a size slightly larger than a deck of cards or pack of cigarettes. In length and width they're smaller than a typical smart phone although they are quite a bit fatter. They're small enough to slide easily into a pocket or purse so would be great for their original use (being able to see the stage from the cheap seats in a theater) or for hobbies like bird watching while on a lunch break.
