s from around 1600 are very rare and there is little information to be found on them.

The the sickle shape shank ends are sharp. According to the first above source they were used as screw driver. One side of the other anchor shaped side was obviously used for hammering. The other side has small
indents, as if to hook it into something. Possibly to cock the flintlock (for fire). V
ery beautiful interesting carvings .
