    Antique Carved Bone Handled Crochet Hook
    Germany * Circa 1890s
    The handle of this pretty antique crochet hook is
    is hand carved of exceptionally clean bone*
    with
    leaf like designs at the top and on the sides.
    The shank and hook are steel (attract a magnet). The hook is about the same as an American steel size 8.
    It
    measures almost 4 1/2" long and has a glossy old patina. The
    condition is excellent with
    no chips, cracks or other damage.
    *This item is made of bone from a domestic cow (bovine) and not from an endangered species.
