    Description

An American Colonial Era Manuscript Document, a worker's notes on work done for a Thomas Richardson in the years 1757, 1765, and 1768.  "June 16th then I helped Thomas Richardson Braickup one day mi selfe and fore oxen and plow".  The entry for 1765 is as follows:  "then I helped him braickup mi selfe and six oxen and plow one day and my plowe ond day more".  I am not familiar with the term "braickup"--possibly it means to break up the soil with a plow.  The worker's name is not present, nor is the location, although it came to me with a group of New England documents.  Approximately 5" x 6 1/4" in size, very dark ink, easily read.
