    Description

    A. Piatt Andrew, American Field Service Founder, Poster and Memorial Volume.
Original, rare, campaign poster from Andrew's failed run for US Congress in 1914.  Also included is the House of Representatives Memorial Volume upon Andrew's death in 1916.
The poster is 14 x 22 inches on cardstock.  The poster has unfortunate water damage.  The book is clean internally with age wear and sunning to the boards.  More than likely this book came from Andrew's house Red Roof.
Because Andrew lost in the 1914 Republican Primary he went to France to drive an ambulance, ultimately breaking from the American Ambulance Hospital and forming the American Field Service.
